FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHY CHOOSE FLY PHOENIX?
We operate with a team of highly-qualified instructors, from a DPE to the chief pilot of a Fortune-500 company to an airline pilot.
Taxi times at Stellar are short, and you can expect to be in the practice area typically within 15 minutes of engine start-up. This is a substantial consideration when budgeting for multiengine training.
We have relationships with multiple, well-regarded DPEs and are able to schedule timely check rides.
WHAT KIND Of PLANE AND AVIONICS DOES FLY PHOENIX USE?
We train out of a Piper Twin Comanche with Bendix/King avionics.
HOW MANY FLIGHT HOURS ARE TYPICALLY REQUIRED FOR A MULTIENGINE RATING? MEI ADD-ON?
The average training time for a multi-engine rating is around 7-10 hours of flight time, depending on the student's experience and preparedness.
Our students are generally able to prepare for the MEI check ride once they satisfy the PIC requirements (15 hours), but can usually do it quicker if they already have multiengine PIC hours.
